|
DRESS CODE 1. All students are required to wear dance clothes. Acceptable attire would consist of leotard and tights, jazz pants, Soffe style shorts only with a leotard underneath, and dance skirts. Shirts are acceptable only for warm up. 2. Jazz pants are acceptable for jazz, lyrical, hip hop, clogging, and Cheer/Pom only. 3. Students must have their hair pulled back in a bun, ponytail, pigtails, etc. If need be, students will be provided with a ponytail holder. 4. Students need to wear the appropriate shoes for the class they are in. 5. Shirts and shorts are not acceptable dance attire. This is only acceptable in cheer/pom and jazz/hip-hop classes. 6. All low heel tap shoes must have elastic or tap ties in them, as this saves class time and saves the teacher from having to retie them. 7. Ballet shoes need to have the strings double knotted and cut short to prevent tripping and unnecessary retying. 8. All students attending a 90 minute or two hour combination class or ballet technique class must wear a black leotard, pink or suntan tights and can wear a black skirt or black shorts for the Ballet portion of class. Hair must be secured in a bun or ponytail. A dress code is important and necessary in order for the teachers to properly see the required muscles are being used and to see proper body alignment. Dance shoes, leotards, tights, skirts, jazz pants, and cheerleader shorts may be purchased next door at Take A Bow (936-8011).
