Nutcracker Costume Requirements

 

Note: All hair for girls is to be worn in a bun tightly secured with hairspray and hair net. No bangs.

Exception: Parents and Children’s March girls may have their hair down in curls and pulled up on the sides. Children’s March boys need hair put in a bun so hats will cover the buns.

 

Children’s March – Costume, girls need bows to match dresses, theatrical pink tights for boys and girls. Boys need black jazz shoes. Girls need pink ballet shoes. Boys need white long sleeved oxford shirts.

 

Maids – Costume, maid hats, theatrical pink tights, black jazz shoes.

 

Poodles & Dolls – Costume, tights to match costume, and pointe shoes.

 

Soldiers – White turtle necks, red suspenders, black pants, theatrical pink tights, red cheeks, black jazz shoes.

 

Mice – Costumes, mouse headpieces, white turtlenecks, white trunks, theatrical pink tights, pink ballet shoes.

 

Snowflakes – Costumes, headpieces, theatrical pink tights, pink ballet shoes.

 

Pages – Costumes, purple hats, theatrical pink tights, pink ballet shoes.

 

Spanish – Costumes, red rose headpieces, theatrical pink tights, pointe shoes.

 

Chinese – Costumes, chopsticks for hair, theatrical pink tights, pink ballet shoes.

 

Clowns – Costumes, clown hats, red cheeks, theatrical pink tights, pink ballet shoes.

 

Mirlitons – Costumes, headpieces, theatrical pink tights, pointe shoes.

 

Flowers – Costumes, pink roses for hair, theatrical pink tights, pointe shoes.

 

Make up – All students need to wear foundation and makeup from their makeup kits. Black eye liner needs to be drawn in the classical ballet style.
