Ballet Westside Dance Studio opened in August, 1985 in Rogers, Arkansas. We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz / hip hop, technique, lyrical, modern, pointe, and cheer/pom classes. Ballet Westside is owned and operated by Dorothy Taylor. She holds 5 grades in Cecchetti training as a student and her Associate III level in teaching. She is originally from Joplin, Missouri, where she studied dance for 15 years. She was principal dancer for the Joplin Dance Company and won numerous awards for talent. She is a past member of the Cecchetti Council of America and regularly attends classes at Dance Olympus and other dance seminars to further her training and teaching abilities. She has been a consultant to Disneyland and Disney Special Events of Anaheim, California. Her students have won top awards at dance competitions held in Kansas City, Tulsa, Branson, Little Rock, Las Vegas, Orlando, Hot Springs, and New York City. Awards include Best Overall Choreography, Presentation, Precision, Costuming, Overall Grand Champion, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th runner up to Grand Champion. Her students have performed with dancers from Disney Special Events, toured with Dance Olympus as VIPs, performed at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center in the Walt Disney World Resort, and aboard Premiere Cruise Line’s S.S. Oceanic. Former students have been accepted into OCU’s prestigious dance department, UNLV’s dance team, UA’s Razorback Dance Team, the American Spirit Dance Company, danced for Carnival Cruise Lines, 1st runner up for Miss Teen Arkansas, and performed in the Mississippi Love Show in Branson, MO. |

Take A Bow Take A Bow is a dancewear store located in the south entrance of the studio. Ballet Westside recommends the purchase of all required dancewear from Take A Bow. This helps ensure consistency in quality, color, style, etc. Take A Bow is open from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday and from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Friday.
